
Security units from the General Administration of Investigation and Department of Resident Affairs arrested on Wednesday 12 people of Arab nationalities for entering the country illegally.
A statement by the Interior Ministry's Media Department said that the information obtained on people entering the country for begging, later after search led them to houses in Jelib Al-Shuyokh and in Jahra area where the arrest was made.
The statement noted that after raiding the houses and made the arrest, including those who offered to cooperate with them, security also found in their possession bank statements and papers petition prepared to engage in begging.
The statement added that there was also an arrest of an Asian and four Africans who confessed after interrogation to their plans for begging and has been transferred to the appropriate authorities.
