
Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah arrived in Somalia on Thursday leading a senior Arab delegation on an official visit.
The delegation includes Mauritania's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Ahmed Ould Teguedi and Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Al-Arabi.
During the one-day visit, the delegation will meet with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed, Speaker of the Federal Parliament Mohamed Osman Jawari.
The visit aims at showing Arab solidarity with Somalia and support to the efforts seeking security and stability in the country.
Kuwait is the president of the current 25th Arab Summit, and Mauritania chairs the present session of the Arab League Council.
On arrival at the Somali capital airport, the senior Arab delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister for Religious Affairs, UAE's to Somalia ambassador to Somalia, Mohamed Al-Osmani, Kuwait's Ambassador to Djibouti Fayez Mejbel Al-Mutairi and a host of senior officials and members of government.
