
Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who arrived by air in the Omani capital Muscat on Thursday, met shortly later with Fahad Bin Mahmoud Al-Said, the Sultanate's Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled praised during the meeting the historic and solid ties binding the two countries. The meeting was attended by a number of officials accompanying the minister during his current visit to the Sultanate.
He is scheduled to chair the official delegation taking part in the seventh session of the Kuwaiti-Omani higher committee.
Earlier, Ambassador Nasser Hajji Al-Muzain, the director of the GCC countries' department at the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry, said Kuwaiti and Omani experts held a meeting, on Wednesday, discussing various issues of common concern. He indicated that the Omani officials during the meeting urged Kuwaiti investors to invest in the country's economic zones.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled's delegation includes Director General of Kuwait Fund For Arab Economic Development (KFAED) Abdulwahab Al-Bader, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister's Office Director, Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Director of the GCC Department at Kuwait's Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Nasser Haji Al-Muzayen, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Oman Fahad Hejer Al-Mutairi and a number of officials.
