
Foreign minister, Ramtane Lamamra, called Sunday night in Hammamet for an approach for a Libyan approach to encourage parties to engage in a serious and comprehensive dialogue to overcome the political and security crisis in the country.
Speaking at the meeting of Foreign Ministers of Libya's neighbors States, Lamamra urged representatives of neighboring countries to define the contours of an approach to enable a dialogue between the Libyan parties to stop blood shedding between Libyans, ensure national consensus, strengthen state institutions and preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity without any foreign interference.
For Lamamra, the difficult transition period Libya witnesses, currently requires the continuation of collective efforts to support the transition process for security and stability.
Moreover, Lamamra stressed that Libya's neighbours should work closely to find the most appropriate ways to allow the brotherly Libyan people to overcome this difficult situation and make decisions to strengthen the stability of this country and ensure the protection of its borders with neighboring States.
Regarding the deterioration of the political and security situation in Libya, Lamamra stressed support to provide to this country to help meet the challenges as well as security and economic policies.
The meeting also aims to help Libya to hold a national conference in which all the Libyan parties partake, so as to intensify coordination among countries in the region and strengthen their security against organized crime and weapons trafficking.
