The Future Movement and Hezbollah group reaffirmed Monday their support to the Lebanese army in its efforts to combat terrorism and protect the security of the country.
In a joint statement tonight following the fourth round of their dialogue, the two major parties welcomed the achievements made by the army and the security forces in the implementation of the security plan and maintaining the unity and stability of the country.
They hailed the outcomes of the dialogue relating to the strengthening the internal front, the activation of the state institutions and solving the outstanding issues.
The fourth round of the dialogue, held at Ain Al-Teeneh, gathered Minister of Interior and Municipalities Nuhad Al-Mashnouq, Minister of Finance Ali Hassan Khalil, representative of the Future Movement Nader Al-Hariri and representatives of Hezbollah and Minister of Industry Hussein Al-Haj Hassan and Hussein Khalil, as well as MPs Samir Al-Jesr and Hassan Fadlallah. The dialogue started late last year with a view to defusing the tensions between the political parties and religious groups in the country.
