Lebanese Prime Minister Tamam Salam will lead his country's delegation to the upcoming Arab Summit in Sharm el Sheikh on March 28-29.
Emerging from a meeting with Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby Wednesday, Lebanese Interior Minister Nihad al Mashnouq said they discussed the situation in Lebanon, particularly obstacles facing the election of a new president.
Mashnouq said his country is facing the same threats that takfiri organizations pose to the Arab world.
But he is still sure that the internal situation in Lebanon is under control.
"We are capable of handling issues with minimum losses," Mashnouq said.
He made it clear that Syrian refugees do not pose any threat to Lebanon's security, adding however that their presence is a pressure on the infrastructure.
