The Libyan government announced 'full mobilization' against extremist militias in the aftermath of a terror attack that left 14 soldiers dead in Sirte.
On December 25, 14 troops loyal to Libya's Tobruk-based parliament were killed in an armed attack by Daesh militias on a thermal power plant in the central city of Sirte.
In a statement, the government condemned the attack, saying it was part of a series of massacres perpetrated by Daesh elements against army soldiers and supportive citizens.
The crime will not go unpunished, it said, urging the international community to lift a ban on the armament of the Libyan army.
