Spokesman of the Libyan general chief of staff Ahmad Buzeyad al-Missmari has said the Libyan army is about to regain the port city of Benghazi.
He added that the operation was not fast enough and was hindered due to some obstacles, which he did not name.
Al-Missmari pointed out that the militants in the city were desperate so they started using bombed cars.
Almost 30 Libyan soldiers were killed and 70 wounded in a double suicide bombing and clashes in the eastern city of Benghazi on Thursday.
