Libya tribes wrap up Cairo meeting, consider MB terrorist group

A meeting of the Libyan tribes' leaders and chieftains that was held in Cairo to discus ways of ending the current crisis in the North African country wrapped up on Thursday.

The final statement of the meeting called on all Libyan factions to unite and reject terrorism as well as any foreign interference in the Libyan affairs.

After three days of consultations and talks, the participants agreed upon rejecting any talks with terrorist organizations and considering the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.

They called on the Libyan people as well as the regional and international powers to support the Libyan army and the elected parliament.

The meeting was attended by a number of top Egyptian officials, notably Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab.

Around 434 Libyan chieftains took part in the Cairo reconciliation conference that opened on Monday.
