Libyan embassy in Egypt resumes work

Egypt\'s Foreign Ministry announced Monday that the Libyan Embassy in Cairo had resumed its work after temporary suspension in response to protests at the premises, official MENA news agency reported.Egyptian foreign minister\'s deputy assistant for Arab Maghreb and Libyan affairs said that after intensive communications between the two sides, the Libyan embassy in Cairo has resumed work.The official stressed that any problems between the two states would be solved by diplomatic ways.The Libyan embassy in Cairo suspended its services temporarily on Saturday due to protests at the premises, as Egyptian Coptic activists were angered by the death of an Egyptian Coptic in Libya, who had allegedly been tortured to death in Libyan custody over suspicion of proselytizing.The protesters were also outraged by the burning of Coptic Orthodox Church in Benghazi, the second largest city in Libya.Libyan ambassador to Egypt Ashur Hamid Bin-Rashid promised Sunday that investigations would be run to bring perpetrators to justice.
