
Head of the Libyan defense ministry's reconciliation committee Adel al Faedi said Egypt is working hard to achieve stability in Libya and remove any impediments facing the formation of a legislative government in Tripoli that could serve the interests of the Libyan people in the first place.
In statements to diplomatic reporters following his meeting with Assistant Foreign Minister of Libya Neighbors Group Ambassador Osama al Majdoub and Egyptian Ambassador in Libya Ambassador Mohammad Abu Bakr, Faedi said the meeting focused on what Egypt could offer to support the formation of a new Libyan government and work out a real consensus among the Libyan rivals.
As per the impediments facing the new Libyan government in view of the diverse orientations, Faedi said all efforts aimed at supporting the government of Faez Al Serga that needs to gain a backing at the domestic front along with the much support he has already gained from the international community.
The Libyan official called on the international community and Egypt to back the Libyan national army to carry out its duties in fighting terrorism.
The meeting also covered the necessity of accelerating measures needed to approve a Libyan government as soon as possible, he added
