
The Legislation and Legal Opinion (Fatwa) Authority (LLOFA)'s Chairman also Director-General of the Preparatory Committee for Parliamentary and Municipal Elections attorney Abdullah bin Hassan Al-Buainain said that the invitation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa AlKhalifa to citizens to effectively participate in the upcoming nationwide elections attest that the ship of the reform scheme has been efficiently proceeding on its charted course.
Al-Buainain stressed that the committee continues to exert its efforts and make all the necessary prearrangements to ensure the successfulness of the upcoming elections which are considered a significant building block added to the Kingdom of Bahrain's democratic march.
He told Bahrain News Agency "BNA" that the committee was working on the provision of highest criteria of transparency, honesty and neutrality of upcoming elections in the manner of previous elections which won wide acclamation, citing that the committee has completed all its preparations in various aspects in order to organise the election process . He added that we are awaiting the issuance of the Royal Decree which stipulates the election date. Once it has been issued, we're ready to organise the elections in its various essential stages.
We in the committee have already prepared tentatively preset schedules to conduct the election process, he assured. All sub-committees have finished their implementation of their assigned task ahead according to the specifically preset dates.
