Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab chaired on Sunday a ministerial meeting to discuss a proposal to establish integrated urban communities across the nation.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of agriculture and scientific research as well as presidential adviser Hany el Kateb.
Cabinet spokesman Hossam al Qawish said the agricultural project is based on the idea of biological diversity.
The proposed project will help increase Egypt's productivity of agricultural crops, livestock and fish, he said.
At the end of the meeting, Mahlab ordered implementing the project in Farafra, Tour and Toshka as a preliminary step before spreading the project across the country.
