
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has decided to establish a national committee of the security camera system.
The committee will be headed by the assistant interior minister for the sector of communications and information technology systems.
The committee will include representatives of the Interior Ministry, the administration of military intelligence and the public intelligence.
The committee will also include representatives of the ministries of local development, housing, electricity, transport, water resources and irrigation, tourism, petroleum and justice, in addition to Telecom Egypt, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU).
The committee will be responsible for assessing the security situation to be able to monitor governorates using surveillance cameras.
The committee will work to form technical committees, whose job it will be to study ways to develop the security camera system.
