
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab received on Wednesday a report from of Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali on aid provided to the Gaza Strip.
The Red Crescent facilitated the entry of aid coming from donor organizations from outside and inside the country to the Gaza Strip, said Wali.
The society helped finding free spaces of injured Palestinians to receive medical treatment in Egyptian hospitals, the minister told Mahlab.
Aid supplies provided by the society to the strip after the Israeli aggression were listed in the report.
According to the report, Egypt's army sent about 936 tons of food products, drugs and medical supplies to the Palestinians.
Also, about 8 tons of blankets and medicines were collected and sent by the Red Crescent, the report said.
Arab Medical Union, Palestinian and UAE Red Crescent Societies sent aid convoys through Rafah border crossing, the report detailed.
