
Outgoing Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki arrived to the province of Karbala to inspect and supporting military units and their readiness to repel any attack could happen there.
A member of the provincial council in Karbala, Majid Saeid told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces arrived in Karbala on Monday morning and he immediately upon arrival made flight tour on the desert of Karbala, which is located along with the western Anbar province to inspect military units and their readiness to respond to any attack from terrorists who control the neutral areas.
He added that this visit came after the tour carried out by al-Maliki in Salahuddin yesterday, noting that the governor of Karbala, Akil Turaihi and chief of Euphrates operations command Othman al-Ghanimi accompanied al-Maliki in his tour.
