The Manama Club has strongly rejected and condemned Iran’s blatant interference in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s domestic affairs.
In a statement issued today, the club said the Iranian meddling in Bahrain's internal affairs contravened international law and values, and the standards governing the work of the United Nations and all regional organisations that ensured the respect for the sovereignty and independence of each state and non-interference in the affairs of others.
The club called on Iran to respect Bahrain’s sovereignty , stressing that the statements of Iranian officials were inconsistent with the principles of good neighbourliness, international laws and norms, the charters of the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and all organisations.
It reiterated its unflinching support to the kingdom’s leadership and the measures it takes to safeguard the kingdom’s security and stability, and promote the rule of the law for the sake of consolidating national achievements, genuine social values and the deep-rooted social fabric.
