Agadir
Amman - Arab Today

Members of the Agadir Agreement, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and Jordan, signed with initials on the final draft of the protocol and its appendices aiming to resolve disputes.

In a press release on Friday, the technical unit of the Agadir Agreement based in Amman said the protocol is expected to be presented to approve at the meeting of the trade ministers of the member countries planned to be held on April 3, 2016.

This came during the 5th meeting in Casablanca for the experts of the Agadir Agreement concerning drafting the protocol.

The meeting was presided over the Technical unit CEO Eid El Mahsusi and wrapped up its works on Thursday.

The protocol will also aim to enhance the legal framework system regulating trade and economic exchange between the member countries.

This is expected to help attract more domestic and foreign investors to work in the region.

The Agadir Agreement which aims to establish a free trade zone between the Arabic Mediterranean Nations was signed in Rabat, Morocco on 25 February 2004.
