
Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad stressed that Syria, under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, has become a global and Pan-Arab symbol for counter-terrorism with all its forms and justifications, particularly the Zionist terrorism and the western-backed terrorism.
In an article published Saturday on the Lebanese al-Binaa newspaper, Mikdad said that Syria assumes its responsibility as a guarantor for the Arab dignity, honor and values and rejects to yield to the others’ dictations.
“Syria has been able to remain strong and resistant due to the wise leadership of President al-Assad and despite all challenges and pressures it has faced during the past three years led by the US, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Europe and their tools at the UN and the so-called the Arab League,” he said.
Deputy Foreign Minister asserted that President al-Assad saved Syria from the rapacity of its enemies.
Mikdad reiterated that President al-Assad’s speech, following the swearing in, tackled a strategic issues and dealt with full responsibility and in details issues through which he drew a way for solving all the problems facing Syria, the region and the world.
He appreciated President al-Assad’s confirmation that the main reference for his policies is the great Syrian people.
