
An armed group kidnapped a police officer along with two of his children in Southeast of Ramadi, Anbar province police announcedPolice said unidentified gunmen stormed, late last night, a house belonging to a police officer with the rank of captain named Hussein Al Hazzimawi, Southeast Ramadi, kidnapped him along with two of his children and led them to an unknown destination.In a related development, s special operations force seized a car in western Anbar and killed an unidentified number of militants belonging to Daash organization or the Islamic State of Syria and the Levant (ISSL). Meanwhile a militant was killed and an explosives belt and weapons were found in his car in the city of Tikrit, in Salahuddin province in northern Iraq.A security source said three explosive devices went off consecutively in the Dora neighbourhood in southern Baghdad seriously injuring one person seriously causing material damage.Police said a number of mortar shells fell this morning, in the district of Al Karma, east of Fallujah, killing five people and seriously wounding 14 others including children and women.Meanwhile security forces managed to kill a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt while trying to break into one of the security checkpoints in Al Hawz area in northern Ramadi, security sources said.They added that a security force killed a gunman near a checkpoint in the area Mekaishifah in southern Tikrit and seized an explosives belt, hand grenades and sniper rifles and other silencers they found inside his car.
