Minister of Urban Development hails Alexandria experience in urban development

Minister of Urban Development Leila Iskandar hailed Tuesday efforts exerted by Governor of Alexandria Hani el Messiry over urban development in the coastal city.
During a tour of a housing project in Alexandria, the minister highlighted progress made in the governorate to develop slums and urban areas.
The project, named EgyCap, provides 160 apartments for people living in Chinese Plateau area to avoid disaster of al Duwaiqa rockslide.
In September 2008, a rockslide killed dozens of people when huge boulders crushed their ramshackle dwellings in al Duwaiqa on Cairo's eastern outskirts.
