
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah held talks on Monday with the visiting UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Valerie Amos regarding international humanitarian activities particularly with respect of Syria.
Amos, currently visiting Kuwait to take part in the 5th Annual Conference for Effective Partnerships and Information Sharing for better humanitarian action, due on October 13-16, expressed gratitude to Kuwait for its continuing humanitarian contributions to UN relief operations worldwide.
The meeting between Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled and Amos was attended by Chairman of the International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) and Amiri Diwan Advisor, Dr. Abdullah Al-Maatouq, and the Foreign Undersecretary, Khaled Suleiman Al-Jarallah.
