The Ministry of Interior said the security of the homeland and its stability is given top priority.
A statement issued by the ministry on Monday said security agencies managed to arrest nine members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood organization in the city of Ismailia and nearby areas.
It said the nine were involved in carrying out 29 terrorist operations and setting fire to cars belonging to a police officer and a journalist as well as other vehicles belonging to ordinary citizens.
Amounts of different types of arms and ammunition were found with the arrested, said the statement, pointing out that the Ministry of Interior will continue hunting down terror suspects and the organization's leaderships.
