
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, chaired the UAE's delegation to the summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders and the King Mohammed VI of Morocco, which started this evening in Saudi capital, Riyadh.
President over by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, the summit discussed ways of enhancing GCC-Moroccan partnership and of coordinating stances to confront challenges and threats the region is facing.
The leaders exchanged views on a host of regional and international matters that affect security and stability of the region and stressed the importance of adopting a unified position towards handling regional concerns.
Those attended the summit from the UAE included H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Security Council, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, EAA, Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the US, Mohammed Saeed Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince's Court of Abu Dhabi.
