Some 231 exhausted Syrian refugees, including many women and children, arrived in Jordan during the past 72 hours after fleeing their war-torn country.
Border guards on Sunday said they took the newcomers to shelters, where the Royal Medical Services provided medical care to ill refugees.
Jordan is already home to over 1.3 million Syrians and has asked the international community for immediate help in covering the cost of hosting them.
