
The General Secretariat of the Muslim World League (MWL) has praised Saudi Arabia's decision to form an Islamic military alliance grouping 34 countries to combat terrorism.
In a statement released on Wednesday, MWL Secretary General Abdullah bin Abdel Mohsen Al Turki said the step crystallizes the hopes of Muslims everywhere who are seeking to see a joint international cooperation to fight terrorism which runs deep in the region.
He asserted that MWL would double its efforts to combat terrorism and would cooperate with such alliance to undermine terrorism by all means.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Relief Organization highly appreciated the bid of Saudi King Salman bin Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz which reflected the keenness of the kingdom to fight this dangerous phenomenon which has widely spread worldwide.
Secretary General of the Islamic Relief Organization Ihsan bin Saleh Tayyeb said this alliance would contribute to combating terrorism at the local and international levels and would help beef up cooperation in this regard at both the Arab and international levels.
