Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby met with President of the National Coalition of the Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces Hadi al-Bahra on Saturday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments of the Syrian crisis along with international proposals in this respect in order to launch dialogue among the various Syrian parties and reach a political solution to the crisis, according to a statement issued by the AL General Secretariat.
Araby, meanwhile, affirmed that the AL is keen on supporting the Syrian people and meeting their legitimate aspirations, added the statement.
Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. More than 200,000 people have died so far in the conflict in Syria, according to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Zeid al-Hussein.
