
Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah met on Tuesday with Deputy Iraqi President Nouri al-Maliki.
They discussed the latest developments in the region, including Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine, according to the national news agency.
"The challenges and threats that the governments and peoples of the region are facing, and the responsibilities borne by religious and political leaders were also discussed during the meeting," according to the press release published by Hezbollah.
"The two sides expressed their complete trust in the inevitable victory of the peoples and governments of the region over Daesh and other terrorist groups," the statement concluded.
