National arrested after found posessing weapons, ammunition

A Kuwaiti national has been arrested along with confiscation of various weapons ammunition, among them one kalashnikov machine gun.
He has been transferred to the relevent authorities pending further investigation, the Interior Ministry Anti-Narcotics General Administration said on Wednesday.
In a press release, the ministry's security media department said information received by the drugs administration indicated that the arrested national had various weapons inside his house, which led to forming a team of experts to confirm the information and take the necessary measures.
The statement added the team went to the residence later and arrested the national and confiscated weapons and confiscated the various types of ammunition.
The statement noted that the arrest took place because the national did not have the appropriate certificate for the weapons and due to the dangers it might have on security and stability.
