The National Council for Women’s (NCW) handicapped women committee, led by Heba Hagras, finalized debates on the rights of disabled people’s blueprint.
The committee made sure that the bill includes all handicapped women rights in various scores, including education, health, sports and others.
In statements on Sunday, Hagras said that the committee reached a number of recommendations that will be raised to the council's head Maya Morsi who is expected to refer them to the parliament.
The committee called for issuing the law as soon as possible due to its importance for every handicapped woman in Egypt.
It is worth mentioning that the rights of the handicapped people’s law was drafted by the National Council for Disability Affairs and was raised to the parliament.
The social solidarity, family and disabled persons committee is discussing the law and has put it out for societal dialogue.
