New head of River Transport Authority appointed over Nile boat accident in Egypt

Transport Minister Hani Dahi on Saturday assigned Reda Ahmed Ismail as new head of the River Nile Authority.
Ismail will replace Samir Salama who was sacked by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab after Warraq boat accident that left at least 35 people dead and four others injured.
The accident occurred when a passenger boat traveling down the Nile near Al Warraq, Giza governorate, collided with a barge, causing the boat to smash and capsize
