
Mohammed al-Dairi, the new Libyan Foreign Minister in the new Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni, is a prominent diplomat at the regional and international levels.
Before being appointed as foreign minister, he served as ambassador and regional representative of the UN refugee agency to Egypt, Arab League and the Palestinian authority.
He was born in Tripoli on March 7, 1952, and completed his education in Libya before traveling to France where he got a Bachelor of Arts and a master's degree in law.
Libya's elected parliament approved on Monday a new cabinet proposed by Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni.
