The water and foreign ministers of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia agreed on Saturday to hold a new round of six-way talks on the Ethiopian renaissance dam on December 27-28.
The upcoming meeting in the Sudanese capital will still focus on Egypt's concerns about the dam, as well as pending technical and political files, a final communique of their meeting here read.
The three countries agreed to continue negotiations based on the Malabo agreement and Khartoum document.
The six-way meeting, which kicked off here Friday, tackled technical aspects of the deadlocked renaissance dam talks, along with Cairo's concerns about the accelerated construction rates, which are not commensurate with progress made by the technical committees studying impacts of the dam on Egypt.
