NIHR committee holds meeting

The National Institution of Human Rights (NIHR) Grievances, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee today convened for its fifth meeting and approved minutes of the previous session. Committee Chairman Abdulla Ahmed Al-Durazi presided over the session which was attended by member Maria Antoine Khoury. The watchdog discussed a complaint lodged by a group of doctors regarding their professional plight. It also gauged the measures undertaken to address complaints and demands for assistance received recently. In a statement today, the watchdog announced that it had undertaken several decisions which would be followed up and implemented.
