Kuwait Ambassador to the UAE Salah Al-Buaijan categorically refuted on Monday night the allegations carried by social media websites that some Kuwaiti detainees died at UAE prisons.
"These allegations are totally groundless. There are only two Kuwaiti prisoners at a Dubai jail and one of them received a final verdict," Ambassador Al-Buaijan told KUNA.
"The Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai discharge their responsibilities in caring for the interests of our nationals and meeting their needs regularly," he affirmed.
The Kuwaiti diplomat urged avoiding the circulation of any inaccurate information that could harm the relations with sisterly countries, noting that Kuwait and the UAE maintain special ties and all-weather friendship.
