Leader of Nour Party Younis Makhyoun urged Tuesday the security forces to swiftly arrest the masked men who shot three party members at a mosque in Kerdasa, Giza Governorate today at a mosque after Fajr prayer.
Makhyoun described the incident as a "dangerous escalation" from some groups against their opponents.
"Attacking people at mosques proved the attackers had nothing to do with Islam even they used slogans of Islam and the legitimacy," Makhyoun commented.
The Salafist politician asserted that his party will maintain utmost restraint for the country's sake and stability, noting his party would resort to the legal way to handle such incident.
A group of masked men fired bird shots against three members of the Salafist Nour Party at one of Kerdasa's mosques after dawn prayers.
