Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali appointed director of the central department for administrative development Sami Abdel Hadi as head of the social insurance fund of workers at the business and private sectors for three months or until a new chief is selected.
The post has been vacant after the fund’s chief Amal Abdel Wahab reached the legal retirement age, Wali told MENA.
Six fund officials had applied for the post after an ad was posted but only four showed up at the committee formed to choose the chair, she said.
The committee members unanimously did not accept any of the applicants, she said, adding that the position requires someone with a huge technical, financial and actuarial expertise and leadership skills.
