
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has condemned the bomb attack yesterday in Garowe, the Puntland region of Somalia in which six UNICEF staff were killed and seven other injured.
The OIC Chief ,expressed dismay at the continuing senseless assaults by the militant Al-Shabab movement, which had claimed responsibility for this incident, against innocent civilians and UN personnel who are there to contribute to the building of a new Somalia away from its violent past.
Madani appealed to all international staff in Somalia and the Somali authorities not to be intimidated by the antics of the enemies of peace and progress.
He reiterated the importance of international community to sustain their peace building engagement with Somalia.
