The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Saturday condemned the "terrorist" attack against Egyptian forces in northern Sinai, Egypt, killing and wounding scores of people.
OIC Secretary General Iyad Madani, in a statement, voiced full confidence that Egyptian authorities would hunt down the culprits "behind this terrorist act to stand trial." Madani reaffirmed OIC's support to Egypt's security and stability, as well as its fight against terrorism.
The OIC chief extended condolences for the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
The Islamic State in Iraq and Levant's (ISIL) wing in Egypt, Ansar Beit Al-Maqdes, claimed responsibility for the attack that killed some 30 people and injured around 50 others.
