
Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani has strongly condemned a terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in Saudi Qatif during Friday prayers.
Madani said that those who carried out the attack planned to dismantle the region's components, maintain the spirit of division between citizens and break the historical balance.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the relevant Saudi authorities to pursue the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The OIC chief offered sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
The OIC reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, he said.
