The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the heinous crime of burning to death Palestinian infant Ali Dawabsheh by Israeli settlers in the West Bank city of Nablus.
The OIC considered this crime an escalation in terrorist acts committed by the settlers in the Palestinian territories and under the protection of the Israeli army.
In a statement issued on Friday, OIC Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani called on the world community to act to halt such crimes and bring to justice those responsible.
He further underscored the importance of referring the file of Israeli violations to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Madani said that the general secretariat has been seeking to hold an urgent Islamic summit called for by the Palestinian leadership to discuss the latest developments in the occupied territories.
