Omani authorities closed border crossings with Yemen, local sources in Yemen's Al Mahrah governorate said Monday.
The move comes following a recent increase in the numbers of Yemeni citizens who crossed the borders into Oman.
In statements to barakish news website, the sources said a large number of Yemenis did not commit to the laws in Oman where they stayed in search for job opportunities.
The sources added that Omani authorities also canceled temporary visas for passers-by Yemenis.
Omani border crossings were the last gate for Yemenis travelers after Saudi authorities closed borders with Yemen due to the ongoing war.
