
Minister of State, Governor of Dhofar, Mohammed bin Sultan bin Hamoud Al-Busaidi, opens on Tuesday a symposium on family cohesion themed (family protection in international experiences) to be hosted by Oman's Ministry of Social Development in collaboration with the Social Affairs Ministers Council's Executive Office.
Gulf and Arab experts and specialists concerned with family issues, as well as representatives from GCC Development and Social Affairs Ministries will participate in the symposium.
The symposium aims to discuss and find solutions to family issues by benefiting from successful experiences that suit Arab and Islamic environment. They will also discuss ways to strengthen family cohesion and protect it from risks and negative aspects.
Executive Office Director-General of Labour Affairs Ministers Council, Ahmed Aqeel Al-Jassim, highlighted the Gulf social policies that mainly focus on strengthening the family status, providing support and enabling them financially and psychologically. He added that Bahrain's Social Development Ministry has presented leading models in supporting and empowering Bahraini families based on international standards in the development, empowerment and community partnership.
