There are consultations among members of the Arab ministerial mini-committee in charge of supporting the Palestinian cause, under Egypt's chairmanship, with the aim of interacting with France which initiated an international peace conference with the state members of the Security Council, especially Russia and China in order to work on issuing a new Arab resolution in the UNSC to stop Israeli settlement activity, said AL Deputy Secretary General Ahmed Bin Heli.
In press statements Thursday, Bin Heli voiced regret over the impending deadlock in the Palestinian cause.
The Palestinian and Arab diplomatic channels are currently trying to knock all doors, including the French initiative, in order to issue a decision to condemn and suspend Israeli settlement activity, he added.
He, meanwhile, pointed out to a number of positive stances, which issued at the level of the Palestinian cause, including Palestine's joining to the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague by voting.
The voting is considered a positive stance in the interest of the Palestinian cause, he added.
Responding to a question about the AL's vision regarding the accusations of the US presidential candidates to the Palestinian president ,Bin Heli said that pan-Arab body does not build its stances on what are said by the US presidential candidates.
The US official stance is in the interest of Israel and against the just Palestinian cause, he added.
He also urged the US administration to reconsider its stances, adding that attaining justice for the Palestinians is in the interest of Israel and security in region.
