Palestine Jihad urges confrontation with occupation forces

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement on Friday called on citizens in the occupied West Bank to defend themselves, their families and their lands in face of the Israeli forces who have the power with full force.

In a statement issued Friday, the movement mourned Ziad Awad, who was killed in clashes with Israeli forces during the funeral of his cousin, the freed prisoner, Jaafar Awad, in Khalil city.

A Jihad leader hailed Palestinian youth in the West Bank who clashed with the occupation forces after the funeral.

Thousands of people marched in the funeral procession in the village of Beit Ummar, accusing Israel of responsibility for the freed prisoner's death of health problems that were neglected during his incarceration in an Israeli prison.
