Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its permanent representative to the Arab League Jamal Al-Shobki, described the presence of his country in the Islamic military alliance consisting of 34 countries against terrorism, as a symbolic meaning to Palestine.
In a statement today, he said "We are suffering from the occupation but we are part of this nation and our presence in this alliance is a message that we are part of this nation and that there is also a safety net to the Palestinians through this alliance."
On the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's intention to open an office in the city of Ramallah, Al-Shobki stressed that it is an important decision by the Organization, because it carries a message of support for Al-Aqsa which is now under very serious attack by the Israeli occupation government.
