
Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain Taha Abdul Qaderreceived in his office today a parliamentary delegation comprising Head of thePermanent Parliamentary Committee for the Support of the Palestinian People Dr. AliAhmed and Dr. Ahmed Al Sa'ati, Ibtissem Hijris, Isa Al Qadhi and Mohammed IsmailAl-Emadi.The delegation underlined support to the Palestinian people in their struggle toregain their usurped rights by all legitimate means.The Palestinian ambassador welcomed the Bahraini parliamentary delegation andbriefed them on the outcome of the mediation efforts of the US Secretary of StateJohn Kerry between the Palestinians and the Israelis.He said the American mediation will fail unless the US administration and Kerryexert pressure on Israel to remain committed to freeing the Palestinian prisoners,determining a reference for negotiation by recognising thebordersofthePalestinian state of June 4, stopping settlement and the Israeli daily violationsagainst the Palestinian armless people and lift the siege on Gaza Strip.He also underscored the Palestinian leadership's holding on to the fivefundamentals which are: full Eastern Jerusalem as capital of the Palestinian state,the right of the refugees to return from exiles as per resolution 194, the Palestiniansovereignty on borders and crossings, dismantling settlements in the West Bank andEastern Jerusalem, freeing all the Palestinian prisoners and lifting the blockade onGaza Strip.The Palestinian ambassador lauded Bahrain's support to the Palestinian people intheir struggle against the Israeli occupation which is targeting the land, sanctitiesand identity. He called on the Arab Foreign Ministers who will meet in Cairo tomorrow to carry out procedures of a political process to support the Palestinianpeople, protect the Palestinian national project, support the Palestinian leadershipand honour a financial security network agreed at the previous Arab Summit toprotect the Palestinian leadership and people from being blackmailed by the US andIsrael.
