Palestinian Ambassador to Tehran Salah al-Zawawi praised the Iranian government and nation for the efforts they have made to restore the rights of the Palestinian nation, specially Tehran's supports for the defenseless people in Gaza during the recent 51-day Israeli onslaught on the enclave.
"I want to thank the Islamic Republic of Iran for providing us with training, financial support and weapons and also thank the country for its political and diplomatic stances on Palestine," Al-Zawawi said in an interview with the Arabic-language Al-Kosar television on Monday.
He reiterated that Iran helped the the Palestinians to win the war against Israel.
The Palestinian envoy reiterated that all those who had gathered to occupy Palestine should return to their own country and only the Palestinian Jews should remain and "we live alongside them with love, respect and brotherhood".
