
The speaker of the Palestinian National Council (PNC), Salim Zaanoun, started Sunday a five-day visit to Algeria at the invitation of the speaker of the Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament), Abdelkader Bensalah.
Zaanoun was welcomed upon his arrival in the international airport of Algiers Houari Boumediene by the speaker of the upper house.
In Algeria, the Palestinian official will meet the heads of several national institutions with whom he will broach the latest developments of the Palestinian cause, as well as the means and ways to establish an independent Palestinian State.
The speaker of the Palestinian National Council will also give a lecture entitled "The Palestinian Cause in the Face of Challenges."
