
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas ordered on Friday forming a committee to investigate the killing Omar Nayef, the Palestinian was found killed in the garden of the Palestinian embassy in Bulgaria.
Abbas strongly condemned this heinous crime, pointing out that he gave orders for the panel to head for Bulgaria.
The Palestinian Authority will follow up the issue with Bulgarian authorities, Palestinian Authority Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said.
Preliminary reports say that Nayef was not shot dead and his dead body was found at the embassy's garden, Palestinian Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Tayseer Jaradat quoted the Palestinian ambassador to Bulgaria as having said.
Earlier, the Palestinian Embassy in Bulgaria said that Nayef was found killed at the embassy where he was taking refuge for two months after the Israeli authorities sought handing him over on the back of alleged participation in the killing of a 27-year-old Israeli settler.
